Description
Working Wooden Catapult is a fantastic resource for Irish primary and secondary school classrooms. Designed to engage students while supporting key curriculum goals, it's perfect for teachers looking to add hands-on, engaging learning tools to their class. This catapult is one of Leonardo da Vinci’s redesigns from the medieval catapults of 400 or so years earlier. This catapult uses the tension stored in bent wood to hurl objects – usually over 15 feet. With no modifications you can experiment with flinging grapes, and those fun mini marshmallows too! A great way to introduce graphing for kids! Age Rating: 12+ While the kit can be made by people younger than 12, (we think kids aged 9+ have the skills) it does launch a projectile, so is rated 12 +. If used by people under 12, please make sure there is parental supervision for the launching. This product is ideal for group activities, early finishers, or as part of your classroom resources cupboard. Trusted by educators across Ireland.
